      <title>Astrophysics in the Physics Classroom using NASA resource material (05 Jun 2026)</title>

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#222222" face="Aptos, Aptos_EmbeddedFont, Aptos_MSFontService, Calibri, Helvetica, sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Finish out the school year with a workshop focusing on what NASA wants high school physics students to know about astrophysics.&amp;nbsp; From the AAPT - NASA - HEAT collaborative website&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="http://www.aapt.org/Resources/nasa_heat.cfm" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.aapt.org/Resources/nasa_heat.cfm&amp;amp;source=gmail&amp;amp;ust=1778676248995000&amp;amp;usg=AOvVaw2X-EMYqE8yEn3Je21b0VF9"&gt;&lt;font color="#1155CC"&gt;www.aapt.org/Resources/nasa_heat.cfm&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;exploration will center on stars, our sun, and heliophysics as applications of physics. This website was created by NASA scientists for teachers to add in-class exercises regarding astrophysics to their physics courses.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Included in presentation: 6 simulated stars using colored bead bags fully explained to take away. Also - free NASA posters, bookmarks,&amp;nbsp;and stickers will be available.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

(Arrive at least half hour early to set up and get on the schedule).&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
