Great News! Monmouth regional has agreed to hold a in-person Physics Olympics this school term. Thank you Monmouth Regional.
Date: January 15th 2022.
We will conduct the competition as we have in past year with the exception of following NJ covid guidelines. Students will wear masks during the competition except when eating.
Morning refreshments will be provided. Teams may bring lunch or order out.
To reduce the number of participants, each school is limited to a registration of two teams and bring two teacher chaperones. Please, no spectators.
Testing procedures & scoring may need to be modified if the Olympics is held virtually.
Since there is a possibility that we may need to switch to a virtual venue, I suggest you get your team organized soon and providing them with the equipment need for each event. With that in mind, I keep the supplies and equipment required easy to obtain. Except for a meter stick and dominoes, supplies can be obtained at a local food market or hardware store and, to obtain rolls of pennies, a Bank.
Rules for the 2020 Physics Olympics are attached.
Registration is open on the NJAAPT website: njaapt.wildapricot.org.
Please register early.
Updates to the rules and Forum discussion / questions with answers are available by going to the NJAAPT website: njaapt.wildapricot.org (top menu, “Events” and “Forum”). It is the team’s responsibility to periodically check in or inquire about changes and clarifications to the rules.
