Start time can change based on the attendee's needs. Since this is a make-n-takes work shop, you can arrive later than 4 and leave later than 6:30.
Learn how your students can construct devices out of household items or easily obtained & inexpensive materials from art supply of hardware stores that demonstrate physics concepts. For example, learn how to make chop cups. Chop cups are used in a magic trick that uses the concept of inertia to fool spectators. Participants will make several items that can be used to enable students to actively learn physics as they build their own devices to perform experiments or used as a quick demo to demonstrate physics concepts. Additionally, these make-n-takes can be used for physics club activities or competitions. Pizza and drinks will be provided.
