Desmos Workshop – $15.00
Workshop about teaching students how to use Desmos on the AP physics Exam

DESMOS Workshop February 7, 2026 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

This workshop will instruct participants on the basic use of DESMOS so that they can prepare students to use this tool for the AP Physics Exam. Using Desmos as a classroom assessment tool will also be discussed. There are no prerequisites other than basic physics knowledge and lab techniques. Please bring to the workshop a Laptop. Optional devices to bring are a cell phone and calculator.

The following topics will be addressed.

*Teaching students to use Demos to do the following:

*Graphing Lab Data

*Linearization of data

*Graphing parabola, hyperbola and sideways parabola functions.

*Additionally, techniques for instructors to create and implement assessments using DESMOS will be explored.

Timeline is as follows:

8:00am to 8:30 morning refreshments/registration

8:30 to 11:30 Desmos main event
