NJAAPT is pleased to announce this AAPT-hosted webinar on OpenSciEd, which is free and open to the public (no AAPT membership required).
Leading this discussion about the OpenSciEd curriculum will be Dr. Mariel Kolker, OpenSciEd facilitator, past NJSTA President, and NJ physics teacher at Morristown HS, along with Dr. Diego Rojas-Perilla, Science Educator at BSCS Science Learning. Note that the OpenSciEd curriculum is increasingly being adopted by school districts around the country.

The OpenSciEd physics curriculum aligns with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and prioritizes critical thinking and the implementation of the Science and Engineering Practices. During this session we will investigate the matter-energy-forces framework, which makes the concepts of force and energy accessible to students in new and useful ways, empowering them to make sense of the world around them.
